Petrova Olga Vitalievna (1968)

Petrova Olga Vitalievna was born in 1968 in the village of Palekh, Ivanovo Region, where she resides at present.
In 1989 the artist finished the Palekh Art School where she studied under guidance of Peskov A.S., Gordeev A.V. and Semakin K.S. Her diploma work was the composition “Scarlet Flower”.
Now the artist works at home. She paints her works in the traditions of Palekh lacquered miniature using tempera paints. Themes of her work are various but most of all she likes to depict Pushkin’s fairy-tales and Russian folk fairy-tales (among her works we may mention such works as “Geese and Swans”, “Morozko”, “By the Pike’s will”). Prefers to use in painting yellow, ochre, pink, emerald and blue tones.
Olga thinks that while working on a lacquered miniature it is very important to express general mood of a chosen theme and all emotions that an artist feels having faced with it. Beginning to paint, she intends to create a bright and attractive work.
The artist pretty sure that every artist has his own style and manner of painting. As regards her works she supposes they are notable for such technique methods as peculiar drawing of landscape and hills and also original coloring.
In her free time Olga likes to travel, to communicate with her children and to keep house.
The artist hopes people will like her works and it won’t be boring to contemplate them.
