This festive box is a creation of Igor Evmenenko from the village of Fedoskino. The probable use of the box of this shape is the storage of glasses.
This composition is consists of several lilies that are painted over the original shaped box, and can be used as a glass holder. The scene is painted in bright oils over the black background with very high details. Fine work!
The sides of the base of the box are decorated with intricate pattern painted in gold.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. A box has a hinge that fastened the lid to the bottom, and the box rests flat. The work is not signed.
