This enticing box is a creation of Igor Evmenenko from the village of Fedoskino. Igor has been working many years as a teacher at Fedoskino Art School.
The box has original shape and painting is covered almost all the surface of the box except for the side on which it stands. The artist has picked up for his painting on the box rose flowers. The scene is painted in bright and red oils over the black background with photo-like quality. Very detailed work!
The paintings on a lid and on the sides are framed with the gold lines.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. A lid is attached to the base with a hinge from top the box. The box rests flat. The work is signed with the name of the artist and date of 2011 at the lid.
