This detailed and well-known composition was painted by Julia Denisova from Fedoskino. It shows a village beauty standing at the fence.

The appealing face of young lady is painted so skillfully that we can read on it different emotions and thoughts; colorful peasant's costume is painted with a lot of details. The palette used is based on earthtones that help to reproduce a rural landscape; the exception is the bright-multicolored cloth of the young lady.

The box is constructed from paper-mache. Red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The exterior of the box is covered with the mixture of red, blck and blue colours, that imitates the stone of marble.
