Description:

This gorgeous originally-shaped box has been painted by talented Fedoskino artist Dmitriy Tipyakov. It is called "Spring" and shows a panorama view to a village with an Old Church hidden somewhere within a forest.
These are not the first Spring days... the snow is almost melted, some of it lays under the trees and in the pits...there are already puddles everywhere...
Dmitriy really likes to paint landscape scenes. This might comes from his mother-prominent Fedoskino artist-Tatiana Tipyakova, who is also famous by her outstanding landscape scenes.
In this work the artist has managed to express his admiration for a quiet splendor of Russian nature. We are like stopped for a while on a small road to a little village with a small white-stoned church and cozy village houses. They are perceptively painted with love and care. A scene like this, real or on an artist's canvas, always has a calming effect on the soul...
The box has non-stop painting all around the lid which have half-cilinder shape!
The colors taken from the palette are very natural and realistic, which enhances the quality of the landscape in the way it was rendered. Silver paint highlights foliage of the trees in a forest.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to complete the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the box. The massive lid is hinged at the bottom and the box rests flat. The work is signed, titled and dated 2018 by the artist.
