Talented artist Olga Bokalova from the village of Palekh has painted this composition. The box shows a couple went out for a walk in the winter evening. The couple is walking among short forest trees and bushes, covered with fresh white snow. On the backside we can see a small village-several wooden houses and a Church, also covered with a snow.
The composition is framed with a golden dot ornament.
The box's sides are decorated with gold and aluminum scroll work.
Gold and aluminum paints are used to detail the figures, trees, houses.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The exterior of the box is painted with black lacquer while the interior is completed with red lacquer.
