This beautiful box has been painted by the well-known Fedoskino Master Alexander Mikheev. It depicts a picturesque view of Russian Orthodox Cathedral.
The palette is based on the successful combination of blue and white tones helping to paint winter landscape. The skies are painted blue and white. Silver dust and dots are framed the top and bottom parts of the painting and wraps around the sides of the base.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer completes the exterior and interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, title, Fedoskno and the year of 2017.
