Description:

Coronation of Royal family-Nicholas and Alexandra Romanovs took a place on the 14th of May 1896. On this box talented artist Dmitriy Primush from the village of Fedoskino has painted this memorable moment.
Nicholas II was the last Tsar of Russia, Grand Duke of Finland, and claimed the title of King of Poland.
Alexandra Feodorovna Romanova was Empress of Russia as spouse of Nicholas II. Born a granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom, she was given the name Alexandra Feodorovna upon being received into the Russian Orthodox Church, which canonised her as Saint Alexandra the Passion Bearer in 2000.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The box's sides are decorated with a nice tartan pattern drawn in gold paints and color paints.
Scans are individual silver punch-outs that are applied to the box surface. The painting is also framed with this decoration.
On the interior's side of the base, we can find the Royal code of Arms painted in gold.
A hinge is fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests flat. The work is signed at the bottom of the portrait with the artist's name, Fedoskino and 2015.
