This box with a Hunting theme was painted by a talented Kholui artist, Galina Kapralova.
On the lid of the box we can see a hunter, who is hunting for a wild boar with a rifle in his hands and the dogs around.
The composition is painted inside the frame,which imitates the bushes of the woods. We can find an elk to the left of the hunter and an owl to the right upper corner.
The side of the box are decorated with a bushy/leavy pattern painted in gold and silver.
The exterior of this box was painted with black lacquer and the interior was painted with red lacquer.
The lid of this box is hinged to the top of the box, and the box rests flat. Upon completing her work, the artist has signed the composition with name, the title and village name of Kholui.
