This attractive box has been painted by the talented Kholui artist Shishanova Elena.
It shows the Golden Hair Girl who is a main heroine of some Western and Eastern folk fairy-tales. In these folk stories she is always depicted as the most beautiful girl in the world, and many men propose her marriage. But only the best of them is worth to be her husband. He will be the bravest, the handsomest and the cleverest one. On this composition we can see one of these guys.
The scene is framed with gold ornament. The sides are decorated with beautiful gold pattern too.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid isn't hinged, and the box rests flat. The box is signed by the artist, Kholui, and title.
