Larisa Poturayko is the talented artist that designed the original sketch of this work, and then painted it with precise creativity and ingenuity. The Kholuy artist composed a playful elegance that very few artists are capable of. It is feature filled. Flowing and fantastic.
Brown tones dominate here. The use of gold contouring within the scene is astounding. Hand painted poetry it is.
The scene is framed with a gold line. The sides of the box are adorned with elaborate gold and aluminum ornamentation.
The box is constructed from quality paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box isn't hinged, and rests on a flat bottom. It is signed and titled ("Concert in the Garret") by the artist on the interior of the lid.
